On November 28th, His Excellency Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita, Indonesian Minister of Industry, visited the Huafei and China Huaneng projects located in the Weda Bay Industrial Park in Indonesia for an inspection and visit.

His Excellency Agus Gumiwang toured the high-pressure acid leaching workshop, product workshop of the Huafei project, as well as the exhibition hall, quality testing center, main control center, and production workshop of the China Huaneng project. He listened to introductions about the general situation of the projects, including process technology, production scale, capacity output, and ESG construction. He congratulated Huayou on the successful implementation and production start-up of a series of projects in Indonesia.

The Huafei project produces 120,000 tons of nickel metal annually from laterite nickel ore using HPAL (High-Pressure Acid Leaching) technology, achieving globally leading technical results. The smooth construction of the China Huaneng ternary precursor project not only showcases Huayou’s new achievements in an integrated industrial chain in Indonesia but also marks a significant breakthrough in its overseas business layout and a substantial enhancement of global competitiveness.
