On May 27th, Huayou, along with Vale, officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Hasanuddin University (UNHAS), a renowned institution in Indonesia, in Sorowako. This marks a significant step forward in cooperation between the university and these companies in talent cultivation, scientific research collaboration, and industrial synergy.
At the signing ceremony, Wei Linqiu, General Manager of Huayou's Indonesian Regional Management Center, stated that as an important force in higher education in Indonesia, Hasanuddin University is a cradle for future technological talents. This cooperation not only represents a powerful exploration of the collaborative innovation model among industry, academia, and research but also opens up broader growth spaces for local young talents.
The cooperation between Huayou and Hasanuddin University encompasses multiple dimensions:
Establishing scholarship programs aimed at supporting students dedicated to scientific research and technological innovation, helping them focus on their studies and unleash their potential.
Building joint laboratories to create a shared platform for scientific research, promoting the integration of theoretical research and industrial practice.
The signing of the MoU signifies another milestone for Huayou’s deepening roots and local development in Indonesia. Moving forward, Huayou will continue to stand alongside talent, leveraging its industrial advantages in new energy materials to collaborate with more partners. This effort aims to promote the construction of local talent systems and assist in enhancing Indonesia’s strategic position within the global battery and nickel industry chain.
