The 2025 China (Zhejiang, Guangxi)-Indonesia Trade and Investment Symposium, held in Nanning, Guangxi, centered on the theme "Win-Win Cooperation, Strengthening the China-Indonesia Community with a Shared Future." As a pioneer in international operations and a sustainable development leader, Huayou was invited to participate and deliver a key presentation as a corporate representative.
This symposium, a significant event of the 22nd China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit and a special gathering for China-ASEAN Business Council partners invited by provincial trade promotion organizations, provided an efficient platform for deepening exchanges and cooperation between Chinese and Indonesian enterprises. It also offered a crucial opportunity for Huayou Indonesia to showcase its ESG achievements and expand collaboration.
As a global leader in green manufacturing integration for new energy lithium battery materials and an ESG-focused listed company, Huayou delivered a speech titled "ESG Strategy Rooted in Indonesian Soil, Shared Achievements Empowering Value Realization." The presentation systematically showcased Huayou's ESG exploration and achievements in Indonesia, highlighting the responsible image of Chinese enterprises in overseas investments and conveying a sustainable business model of "sharing with partners, coexisting with the environment, and thriving with society."
Over seven years of deep engagement in Indonesia, Huayou has led with ESG responsibility, adhering to principles of integrity, equality, and transparency. The company has made 20 ESG commitments and integrated ESG concepts into its business management through three new value paths: "technology-driven leadership, business for good, and mutual prosperity through collaboration." To date, Huayou has invested over US$10 billion, constructed and operated more than ten key projects, created over 20,000 local jobs, and established Indonesia's first green, low-carbon full supply chain from laterite nickel ore to lithium battery cathode materials. This has injected the "Huayou Solution" into the green transformation of the non-ferrous metals industry and the harmonious development of Indonesian communities.
Moving forward, Huayou Indonesia will continue to uphold win-win cooperation, firmly grasp the core direction of ESG, and collaborate with international partners to build a sustainable industrial ecosystem. The company aims to drive the green, low-carbon, and sustainable development of nickel-cobalt resource exploitation in China and Indonesia, contributing to a stronger China-Indonesia community with a shared future.
