On May 24th, Huayou Cobalt was invited to attend the 2025 Annual High-Level Steering Committee Meeting of the "Sustainable Infrastructure Construction Supporting the Belt and Road, Accelerating the Achievement of Sustainable Development Goals" action platform organized by the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC). The meeting focused on discussing how to promote more inclusive, resilient, and sustainable global development through high-quality co-construction of the Belt and Road Initiative.

      During the meeting, all committee members reviewed and approved the "Joint Statement of the UNGC 'Sustainable Infrastructure Construction Supporting the Belt and Road, Accelerating the Achievement of Sustainable Development Goals' Action Platform High-Level Steering Committee". The participating committee members reached a broad consensus on promoting sustainable development, expressing their willingness to work together with the UNGC to continuously contribute to the global sustainable development goals.

      The high-level steering committee unanimously agreed to add Chen Xuehua, Chairman of Huayou Cobalt, as a new member. The committee members believe that as a leading company in the global new energy lithium battery material field, the addition of Chairman Chen will inject new strategic vision and industry strength into the action platform in terms of green transformation and sustainable development.

       Sun Lihui, Vice President of Huayou Cobalt, attended the meeting and shared insights on topics such as energy transition, corporate ESG strategies, stakeholder engagement, and participatory community development. He suggested fully leveraging the role of the "UNGC Belt and Road Action Platform" to integrate global membership resources and jointly build partnerships to collaboratively achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
